Firm structure
JM Henderson CRE LLC is a California limited liability company founded in 2026, owned and operated by its founder, Jef Henderson, a licensed California real estate broker (CA DRE #01483399). The firm operates as an independent brokerage providing institutional commercial real estate advisory services. The firm has no parent, no franchise affiliation, and no multi-platform service group structure.
What we do
JM Henderson CRE provides licensed California commercial real estate brokerage services, including:
- Investment sales / disposition advisory for institutional and family-office sellers of commercial real estate ($10M+ engagement minimum)
- Buy-side advisory for institutional acquirers of commercial real estate
- Off-market sourcing and assemblage advisory under confidentiality framework
- 1031 like-kind exchange advisory in coordination with qualified intermediaries
- Market intelligence, broker opinion of value (BOV) production, and disposition strategy consulting
- Capital formation strategy advisory in coordination with retained legal and accounting counsel
What we don't do
JM Henderson CRE does not engage in any of the following activities. This is a deliberate firm-design choice intended to eliminate conflicts of interest with brokerage clients.
- No proprietary funds. The firm does not raise, manage, or invest in proprietary real estate funds or vehicles.
- No debt brokerage or capital markets debt platform. The firm does not originate, broker, or service commercial real estate debt. The firm refers debt placement to independent debt brokers and lenders.
- No tenant representation practice. The firm does not represent tenants or occupiers in lease negotiations.
- No property management. The firm does not manage commercial properties on behalf of owners.
- No investment advisory. The firm is not a registered investment advisor and does not provide investment advice within the meaning of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or California's investment-advisor laws.
- No securities brokerage. The firm is not a registered securities broker-dealer and does not facilitate securities transactions, including private placements.
- No legal or tax advice. The firm does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial-planning advice. Clients are advised to retain independent counsel for those needs.
- No fiduciary capacity. No fiduciary relationship is created with website visitors or prospective clients by viewing this website, calling or emailing the firm, or engaging in preliminary discussions.
No continuing affiliation with prior employer
JM Henderson CRE LLC has no continuing affiliation, relationship, partnership, joint venture, referral arrangement, shared-commission arrangement, or other operating arrangement with the founder's prior employer (a major national commercial real estate firm where the founder served as a producer between 2004 and 2026) or with any other multi-platform commercial real estate firm. Engagement of JM Henderson CRE LLC is not engagement of any prior platform. Representations made by JM Henderson CRE LLC are not representations of any prior platform. The founder's professional licenses are independent.
How we manage conflicts
The independent structure described above is the firm's primary conflict-management approach. Where a residual conflict is possible (for example, two prospective sellers with assets in the same submarket), the firm discloses the potential conflict to each principal in writing and obtains conflict waivers in advance of any active engagement. The firm declines engagements where conflicts cannot be cleanly managed.
Career-experience disclosure
Career-experience descriptions on this website refer to the founder's prior producer-level experience at a major national capital markets platform between 2004 and 2026. They do not represent JM Henderson CRE LLC's firm-level production volume. Specific transactions on which the founder was named or participating broker of record during the prior employment are subject to confidentiality undertakings and principal relationships and are not enumerated on the public website. Career-experience claims are substantiable from publicly available transaction records (county recorder, CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, trade press) on request from qualified institutional principals.
